SHE Collaborates director
Geraldine Beaujean studied Medicine at the Medical Faculty of Maastricht University and has been trained as a medical professional in an innovative educational manner (through Problem-Based Learning and Early Clinical Exposure). After graduation, she worked a few years in regional health centres and hospitals, gaining experience in medical practice. Subsequently, she turned to medical education in the context of developing countries. She lived and worked in Kenia and Sudan for several years. In 2002, she returned to Maastricht University and since 2011, she has been the director of SHE Collaborates, SHE’s international collaboration office. Her team engages in long-term collaborations worldwide to support higher education in the area of health.
