Student Experience Survey
As a student at the UM, you filled in the Student Monitor survey every year until 2019. The aim of this survey was to improve the services provided by UM to students. In May 2019, however, the Student Monitor has made way to the Student Experience Survey.
The aim of the Student Experience Survey is to optimise your learning environment as a student, for example by starting a dialogue (talking to each other) and by looking for possible improvements.
Together with the Student Project Team, among others, this approach was chosen. The aim is to achieve UM-wide cooperation and interaction between UM, students, service units and faculties. In addition, we want to involve students by making a contribution to the issues raised and by thinking along with them in order to obtain points for improvement and solutions. Finally, we hope that this collaboration will provide insight from different angles to achieve a better and more supported result.

How does the Student Experience Survey work?
Questions will be asked five times throughout the year. It concerns three times a small subject and two times a large subject.
- For the small subjects surveys will be used (e.g. via Student Portal, the Student Panel of the Student Project Team or Flycatcher).
- For the large subjects, different methods can be used such as digital questioning, discussion/session with students (focus groups), et cetera.
The sessions will be promoted via the UM News, screens in the buildings and social media. With this approach we hope for a constructive and high input from students so that we can improve the services for you.
