Central Research Facilities FHML (COV FHML)

Within the FHML, there are several Central Research Facilities (COVs) to provide optimal support to researchers and ensure a safe working environment. The COVs are accessible to all FHML staff and play a crucial role in strengthening the faculty’s research activities.

The COVs focus on facilitating research through technical support, access to equipment, and guidance in the use of technologies and methodologies. In this way, the COVs contribute to a safe working environment and promote scientific progress and innovation across various disciplines.

Fundamental priciples of the COVs

  • Consolidation and sharing of resources within FHML

Research equipment, expertise, and support services are consolidated and shared across departments to avoid duplication and maximize accessibility for researchers.

  • Efficient use of space

Laboratory space is used in an efficient and sustainable manner, ensuring optimal occupancy, flexibility, and alignment with current and future research needs of all departments within FHML.

  • Increased collaboration

The COVs facilitate collaboration between research groups by creating shared facilities and promoting the exchange of knowledge between departments.

  • Provide a safe and pleasant working environment

The COVs ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote well-designed, well-maintained, and attractive work environments that support productivity, well-being, and responsible research practices.
