Meeting of the EMBRACE consortium
The EU-funded EMBRACE project investigates obstacles to democratisation in the European neighbourhood and identifies ways to overcome them. It examines various types of blockages (behavioural, institutional, structural) and studies the cultural, historical and geopolitical contexts in which they emerge.

SBE Brussels Study trip
The UM Brussels Hub hosted and co-organised the Brussels study trip for master's students from Maastricht University School of Business and Economics. Participants came from a diverse set of programmes, including MSc Economics, MSc Economics and Strategy in Emerging Markets, MSc Human Decision Science, MSc Financial Economics, and MSc Economic and Financial Research.

Kenyan officials visit the Hub (ECPC)
The Hub’s role is also to support the active and engaged UM community with their activities in Brussels, we hosted our colleagues from the European Centre on Privacy and Cybersecurity (ECPC).

Study visit (FHML)
We welcomed master students from the FHML's Health and Digital Transformation programme to the Hub as part of their Brussels trip. The Hub team contributed to the creation of the programme and invited Gozde Susuzlu Briggs, Senior Programme Manager at the European Patients' Forum (EPF), to present and share insights from her experience in digital health, and the Data Saves Lives Initiative.

PRAETORIAN Meeting (FHML)
The PRAETORIAN project organised a midterm meeting at Maastricht University Brussels Hub, where they presented their research progress and showcased significant advancements. This project is funded by the European Commission's Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme.
