Brussels study trip
The PhD researchers of the Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD) project will visit Brussels. The consortium includes several universities, industry partners, and policy-related organizations based in the Netherlands. During the visit, the group will take part in lectures, debates, and workshops with professionals working in the European Parliament, policymaking, and lobbying.

Study trip with visits to the Arts and Culture: Arts and Heritage: Policy, Management and Education
The group will start the day with a visit to the European Commission, where they will learn about European cultural policy. Afterwards, they'll take part in a discussion Brussels-based experts to gain further insights into the topic at the UM Brussels Hub.

We hosted a meeting of the UnILiON - Universities Informal Liaison Offices Network working group 'Excellence', who were here to discuss recent developments regarding the European Research Council (ERC) and MSCA programmes (European Commission) .

FASoS Workshop The Prediction Machine
This time we facilitated the VENI project funded by NWO-I workshop βππ§πππππ©ππ£π ππͺπ§π€π₯π: πππ¨π©π€π§πππ¨ π€π π©ππ ππͺπ©πͺπ§π ππ£ ππ€π¨π©-1945 ππͺπ§π€π₯πβ organised by Dr Jacob Ward and Dr Aleksandra Komornicka researchers at Maastricht University Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
The workshop explored how ideas and tools for predicting the future like forecasts, scenarios, and foresight studies have shaped Europeβs political and economic development since 1945.

SBE Brussels Study trip
The UM Brussels Hub hosted and co-organised the Brussels study trip for master's students from Maastricht University School of Business and Economics. Participants came from a diverse set of programmes, including MSc Economics, MSc Economics and Strategy in Emerging Markets, MSc Human Decision Science, MSc Financial Economics, and MSc Economic and Financial Research.

The Hubβs role is also to support the active and engaged UM community with their activities in Brussels, we hosted our colleagues from the European Centre on Privacy and Cybersecurity (ECPC).

Study visit (FHML)
We welcomed master students from the FHML's Health and Digital Transformation programme to the Hub as part of their Brussels trip. The Hub team contributed to the creation of the programme and invited Gozde Susuzlu Briggs, Senior Programme Manager at the European Patients'β Forum (EPF), to present and share insights from her experience in digital health, and the Data Saves Lives Initiative.

PRAETORIAN Meeting (FHML)
The PRAETORIAN project organised a midterm meeting at Maastricht University Brussels Hub, where they presented their research progress and showcased significant advancements. This project is funded by the European Commission's Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme.
