Internships
During your bachelor’s or master’s programme at the Faculty of Law you can do an internship, which must complement your programme or profile. The aim is for you to gain work experience and establish contacts which may lead to a job after your studies. Students regularly find their first position at the company or institution where they did their internship.
You can undertake an internship with various employers in the Netherlands or abroad, such as law firms, the judiciary, governments, European institutions, multinationals and other companies, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
Maastricht University students highly value the internship possibilities offered by the Faculty of Law: its Internship Office has ranked top in the annual Elsevier survey for several years in a row. This survey maps the educational facilities in all law faculties in the Netherlands.
