Finance takes care of the complete financial administrative services of Maastricht University and the policy regarding financial support. The departments Archive, Document management and Postal affairs are also part of Finance.
Our goal is to maintain an up-to-date, complete, timely, correct and reliable administration, respecting all applicable regulations. Finance also is a gatekeeper, testing requests from the organisation to legal aspects and the agreed UM guidelines. The policy and advising activities are increasingly important for the university, from individual employees to large university projects. In a time where resources diminish the importance of a balanced financial weighing on all parts of the organisation increases. The Finance department is fully equipped to match this demand.
