Scholarship office

International Student Helpdesk (ISH)
The International Student Helpdesk offers face-to-face help for international students who need the assistance of a native Dutch speaker.

Having problems with your deposit or rental contract? Paying too much rent or service costs? Or is your house badly maintained? Students with questions about their rights and responsibilities as a tenant can receive advice and guidance from the Housing Helpdesk.

Maastricht Housing
Maastricht Housing, or the Foundation Student Housing Maastricht, is the only non-commercial mediator in Maastricht. It helps students at Maastricht University, Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and the Jan van Eyck Academy find housing in the area.

Disability Support
Maastricht University's Disability Support helps students with a physical, psychological or sensory disability, or a chronic disease or condition by providing support that makes studying with a disability easier.
UM Career Services
UM Career Services supports students in preparing as well as possible for their future careers and in the choices they need to make during their studies. They can provide you with training, information, advice and personal guidance.
UM Psychologists
Maastricht University's student psychologists help students with different psychological problems, from issues such as fear of failure, procrastination and problems with planning, to eating disorders, stress, gloominess and depression.
UM Student deans
UM students can call upon student deans for information and advice about their legal position as a student. The student deans work throughout the entire university and are independent.
Center for European Studies
The Center for European Studies (CES) creates dynamic, interactive programmes with integrated field trips, cultural weekends and study trips for international students who are looking to study abroad on a non-exchange basis.
Maastricht Summer School
Maastricht Summer School (MSS) was founded in 2012 and offers 49 different courses in a large variety of subjects in the fields of Art & Culture, Business & Economics, Law & Politics, Science and Social Sciences. The courses are geared towards students at undergraduate/bachelor level, graduate/master level and professionals.

UM Language Centre
The Language Centre is the centre of expertise for language training and (oral and written) communication skills training. From language courses in modern languages such as English, French, German and Spanish to Arabic, Chinese, Portuguese and Russian, the Language Centre has something to offer for everyone.

INKOM
The INKOM work group is the organisation responsible for organising the annual introduction week (INKOM). The organisation of the INKOM is done in collaboration with the Hogeschool Zuyd.

Studium Generale
Studium Generale offers interesting lectures and debates on all kinds scientific, cultural and social issues. Additionally, in collaboration with other cultural places in the city, Studium Generale, organises film, dance and theatre events. Students are often granted a considerable discount.

Sports council MUSST
Sports Council MUSST (Maastricht University Student Sports Trust) is the umbrella organisation for 27 student sports associations with sports varying from sailing to soccer.

UM SPORTS
UM SPORTS offers sports activities for students, staff and alumni. It offers more than 50 different sports, including popular group classes like zumba and clubpower; a wide variety of team sports and also lesser known activities like frisbee and capoeira.
