Welcome to the UM Sustainability Week's  Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences Faculty days! Our programs features lectures, workshops and panel discussions on sustainability topics specific to the fields of health and medicine. Our expert panelists and workshop leaders include professionals from academia, industry, and NGOs who will share their knowledge and experiences on various aspects of sustainability in health and psychology. This is a great opportunity to learn about the latest developments and trends in sustainability, network with professionals in the field, and gain practical knowledge on how to promote sustainable practices within your profession.

Day Schedule


9:30-12:30: Climate Fresk workshops facilitated by Green Team members
13:30-15:30: Mini Lectures and Lunch Bites
     Lecture 1 at 13:30-14:00 with Patrick Deckers on the plant based food transition for planetary and human health.
     Break with bites at 14:00-14:15
     Lecture 2 at 14:15 - 14:45 with Carlijn Wagenaar on health benefits plant based food especially for joint complains like arthritis, gout and rheumatoid arthritis.
     Break with bites at 14:45-15:00
     Lecture 3 at 15:00 - 15:30 with Lobke Faasen, Schijf for Life diĆ«tist, on misconceptions of plant based food.
18:00-20:00: Pub Quiz with questions about food, climate change, and sustainability myths. Come for drinks and a grand prize for the winning team!
