Strategy evaluation reports
Research institutes in the Netherlands engage in a six-year cycle of external review to evaluate the quality, relevance and viability of research in public institutions in the Netherlands. SHE engages in this process as well and, although not mandatory, SHE also performs mid-term reviews in between the more extensive six-yearly external reviews. Evaluations are based on the ‘Strategy Evaluation Protocol’ which emphasizes that research evaluation is done in the context of a research unit's self-set goals and strategy. In preparation for the evaluation, research groups write a self-evaluation report. Below we share our self-evaluation reports and appendices is applicable as well as the reports we have received from our review committees.
