Project description
In recent years, the need for resilient healthcare has become increasingly clear. Healthcare professionals are exposed to numerous stressors in their daily work, threatening their well-being and mental health, including the healthcare professionals in the Meuse-Rhine region, a region known for its cross-border healthcare collaborations and diverse healthcare practices. This may result in high absenteeism (e.g., due to illness), job drop-outs and errors, impacting patient care quality. Promoting resilience of healthcare professionals is paramount to maintaining the performance of the healthcare system and ensuring safe patient care.
CAREMORE project focuses on resilience education with a holistic perspective. This includes individual coping strategies, fostering team learning, and building a resilient organizational culture. In collaboration with partners across the Meuse-Rhine region, Maastricht University focuses on evaluating current resilience-fostering practices and developing new educational initiatives to strengthen resilience.
