The Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (FHML) offers MUMC+ staff a variety of activities to help them fulfil their educational and teaching responsibilities in the best possible way. The programme is designed to meet the requirements of educational practice at FHML, but individual needs will also be attended to.
Activities are mainly conducted in small groups with educational methods that are interactive and varied. Participation in one of the educational tracks will be recorded in the faculty’s education file. A number of our courses have accreditation for general continuing education requirements. Besides the courses in clinical education, most of the courses are offered in the English language.
The Faculty Development Expertise Group within the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (FHML) assists MUMC+ and FHML staff members in developing their educational expertise and performance. The variegated range of training opportunities, including formal and informal learning moments, offered in an authentic environment induce you to reflect on and develop your educational competences.
Training opportunities are closely aligned with the existing educational roles within the FHML-MUMC+. In addition to the regular pathways, bespoke support and personal coaching are also among the possibilities. Training opportunities have been created consistent with PBL learning principles.
More specifically, they involve work in small groups, use interactive and diverse working methods and are linked to working practice. To be able to perform a number of educational roles within the FHML, specific requirements must be satisfied. The regular pathways (principles, tutor, mentor, UTQ) can be taken to this end.
