Courses A-level teaching roles

Introductory course on the principles of PBL:
All academic staff members (from PhD candidates to full professors) are required to start with the basic course Introductory course on principles of PBL. This course is open to staff on all levels of experience, with and without educational roles.

Course for teaching roles on A-level:
After the basic course on principles of PBL, staff members with new educational roles attend one or more of the following courses:

  • The course for Small Groups Teaching Skills  Formerly known as tutortraining .Focusses on guiding small group learning sessions e.g. tutor/coach/trainer.
  • The course Mentoring skills (focus on guiding and coaching of individuals).
  • The course for Medical skills lab trainer (CORE).
  •  When staff members are starting a different A-role not mentioned here, they also participate in the course of that particular teaching role.
