Research profile
Laurie investigates how testing, assessments, and evaluations can support learning and professional development in higher education and the workplace. She combines insights from psychology, educational science, and business studies to understand how students, professionals, and instructors shape, monitor, and assess learning and performance. Her research also focuses on how these processes can be designed and improved so that decisions regarding progress, certification, or development are reliable and effective.
Research projects
Laurie is involved in research and consultancy projects at the intersection of assessment, evaluation, and professional development in higher education and organizational contexts. Her work spans multiple levels, from individual students and professionals to teams, and from learners to assessors. She engages in both academic research – including PhD supervision and collaborative studies – and practical organizational projects aimed at improving learning, assessment, and feedback processes.
