Training programme
Our training programme is flexible and is meant to serve the needs of our PhD candidates. One basic course is mandatory for all PhD candidates: the Art of Doing Research. It teaches young researchers how to conduct sound research, by addressing the different stages of a research project in an interactive way. Furthermore, it addresses the (ethical) principles of doing research, which are central to safeguarding research integrity.
In January 2021, the Graduate School started a new series of Graduate School Methods Seminars, which introduce PhD candidates, Master’s Honours Research Track students, and other members of the faculty to different methods being used to conduct legal research. Guest speakers present fundamentals, advantages, problems, and limits of a method that they are expert in, through the lens of their own research.
The seminars take place monthly. An overview of upcomng seminars and registration form can be found here. We will regularly update this form with new dates. After registration, participants will receive a Zoom link to the meeting.
