Dr Max Löffler (M.R.)

Max Löffler is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Microeconomics and Public Economics at Maastricht University and a member of the ERC project HIPPO at the University of Cologne. His research at UM is funded by a Veni grant titled “Housing Markets and Inequality,” awarded by the Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (NWO).

Max specializes in public and urban economics, focusing particularly on the effects of taxes and the study of inequality. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Cologne in 2018 and is affiliated with the CESifo, IZA, and ZEW research networks.
