MMM competition
On Saturday, January 25, 2025, Maastricht University will organize the 29th annual Maastricht Mathematical Modeling Competition (MMM).
Compete with other schools from the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium during our international mathematics competition. So register your school quickly with a team consisting of a maximum of 5 students from years 5 or 6 of pre-university education (VWO).
How does it work
The competition is open for students from the fifth and sixth grade VWO (the two last years of secondary school). In small groups of 2-5 persons students try and solve mathematical problems and possibly win the first prize of € 200. The problems are formulated in English and may be answered in Dutch, German or English.
For teachers there is at the same time a program of lectures and presentations by members of the Departments of Quantitative Economics and of Mathematics about their teaching and research at Maastricht University.
Registration
Registration is possible only by sending us an email before or on Friday, December 6, 2024.
As a rule, groups will be admitted on a first come first serve basis.
Registration will be definite only after receiving a confirmation from us.
