Research

FCCV conducts research on how you can scientifically demonstrate whether food is legally safe and/or healthy. Before a new food product can enter the market, the safety of this product must be demonstrated according to European legislation and regulations. FCCV's research focuses on how developments in the food world are translated into food legislation, and how policy and legislation can influence such developments.

Collaboration

During projects we often work together with the other research lines of UM Campus Venlo, such as the Centre for Healthy Eating and Food Innovation (HEFI). Furthermore, the students of University College Venlo (UCV) or the master's programme Health Food Innovation Management (HFIM) can give helpful insights in the fields of nutrition, health and food legislation.

We've set up something unique with the Food Claims Centre Venlo. As far as I know, no one else is currently conducting scientific research into developments in the food world in relation to food legislation.
