Compensation and Prevention for Damage Resulting from Offshore Drilling in China

M-EPLI Talks offer a forum to share academic work and ideas. These meetings take place twice a month during the academic year at the Faculty of Law of Maastricht University.

This event (held in Brussels, Belgium), organised jointly by the Globalisation and Law Network, Maastricht University (GLAW-Net), and the University of York Faculty of Law, will provide an opportunity for academics, national and EU policymakers, and civil society members, to engage with Anu Bradford (Columbia).

Most work in legal logic is generalist or takes domestic law as the standard case. International law as a field has some distinctive features, however. Lacking a formal and centralised structure, international law is the result of the direct action of its addressees: States, international organisations, non-governmental entities, transnational companies, and even individuals.
