Continuing professional development (CPD)
Maastricht University offers all UTQ-qualified teaching staff holding a ≥ 0.15 teaching appointment 16 hours yearly to engage in their continuing professional development (CPD) in education. These hours can be used to focus on individual learning goals, but also at a group level to initiate and support the development of professional learning communities in teaching. Teaching staff members could engage in, for example, work visits, peer consultation (Dutch: intervisie) for tutors or mentors, peer observation, internal or external workshops (DocProf, EDLAB, external parties, etc.), MOOCs, attending a session at an educational conference, or reading literature.
More information about CPD and the CPD activities offer can be found on our dedicated Canvas course. You can self-enroll in this course here.
