Melline Somers joined the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) in February 2019 as a postdoctoral researcher. Melline is currently involved in two research projects. The first project focuses on the flexibility of education systems and social inequality in educational outcomes. The second project examines the effect of technological change on social inequalities.
From 2015 until 2018, Melline was a PhD candidate at the Top Institute for Evidence Based Education Research (TIER) at Maastricht University. During her PhD, Melline conducted research on the mismatch between education and the labour market. Melline obtained her Bachelor's degree in Business Economics in 2012, and graduated from the Master's programme Management of Learning in 2014 at Maastricht University.
