Victoria Sadaf Azizi, LLM (V.S.)
Victoria Azizi is a PhD Candidate at Glawnet (Globalisation and Law Network) and ICGI (Insitute for Corporate Law, Governance and Innovation Policies) connected to the Private Law Department of the Faculty of Law in Maastricht. She is specialised in corporate law, especially in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) guidelines, Stakeholder Engagement and Legitimacy.
The prime objective of her researchproject is assessing the stakeholder engagement (e.g. participation, consultation and representativeness) in corporate policy-setting concerning the implementation of international CSR (sustainability reporting and due diligence) guidelines. The added value is that the research includes normative policies extracted from the ‘’input, throughput and output’’ legitimacy theory and thereby touches upon the debate on how companies can enhance stakeholder engagement in their CSR decision-making and implementation process.
Victoria Azizi is a lecturer in the Master Courses Comparative Company Law and Corporate Social Responsibility (EN) and a supervisor of master and bachelor scriptures in the field of corporate law (EN/NL).
She was also the Editor-in-Chief of the official law journal Amsterdam Law Forum of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
