Peter van Ruitenbeek (P.)

My name is Peter van Ruitenbeek and I work as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience of Maastricht University.

Research

My main research interests are focused on the neuronal and pharmacological underpinnings of addiction. In addition, I study the ageing brain and the consequence for cognitive functions. In the past I have studied the role of histamine in cognition. In all cases I used some form of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) as the method of study.
