Collective holidays
Maastricht University yearly appoints the Collective holidays, days the employee is obliged to take holiday hours. In general these are the so-called bridging days (days between a bank holiday and a weekend) and the days between Christmas and New Year’s Day. These days will be automatically deducted in I-mar.
For 2016 the following collective holidays have been appointed:
- Friday, May 6
- Tuesday, December 27, up to and including Friday, December 30
Furthermore there are Public holidays. At the UM employees are, in addition to the customary holidays, not required to work on Carnival Monday and Tuesday, Good Friday, and 5 May (Liberation Day). For these days you do not need to take holiday hours.
