BASF’s vegetable seeds business and Maastricht University signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate in the Brightlands Future of Farming Institute (BFFI). As of mid-2021 it will start its activities in a new facility at the premises of the Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo, The Netherlands.

Maastricht University will become the first Dutch university to enter the IBM Q Network. The goal of the collaboration is to develop the high-performance computation power required for two next-generation advanced physics detectors.

Getting a PhD in the arts is now possible in Limburg. It can be done in MERIAN, a collaboration in the area of artistic research between Zuyd Hogeschool, Maastricht University and the Jan van Eyck Academie.
