Dr K. Meijer
The research of Dr Meijer focuses on the neuromechanics and energetics of movement disorders. He aims to understand the key factors for stable and economical locomotion. In collaboration with clinical partners he strives to elevate basic concepts and technology on human movement to (pre-)clinical applications. He is the research coordinator of the Human Performance Laboratory, which includes the Computer Aided Rehabilitation Environment (CAREN). Furthermore, he is the scientific advisor for the development of the Maastricht physical activity monitor (MOX) and the service point activity monitoring.
