Gera Nagelhout (G.E.)
I am an endowed professor in ‘Health and Wellbeing of People with a Lower Socioeconomic Position’ at the department of Health Promotion of Maastricht University (two days per week). I am also lector ‘Engaged Science’ at Centre of Expertise Perspective in Health of Avans University of Applied Sciences (three days per week). I have a background in Communication Science and a PhD in Health Sciences. My research projects focus on health, wellbeing, poverty, and addiction among people with a lower socioeconomic position. My research also focuses on inclusive and participative research, citizen science, and appreciating experiential knowledge in all phases of health research.
