Vivian Salles Vieira Pinto (V.J.)

Vivian J. Salles Vieira Pinto is an educator who serves as an academic docent at Maastricht University (UM) – Private Law Department.

 

Her expertise lies in diverse fields of law, including a Masters Degree obtained at Maastricht University and an specialization in Conflict Resolution and Access to Justice. As a Docent, she teaches private law in courses, including Property law, Tort law, International Business Law, Skills, European Private Law, Philosophy of Private law among other courses, besides supervising students' theses and internships.

 

In her role as an educator, Vivian aims to instill a deep passion for the law in the young minds of law students, molding them into informed and empathetic legal professionals.

 

As a researcher, her doctoral research project focus on Adoption Law, Adoptees' Rights, Right to Know, Family Privacy and legal conceptualization. She is also a member of the Maastricht European Private Law Institute (MEPLI).
