Maastricht University is proud to be the most international university in the Netherlands. People come here from a vast variety of cultural backgrounds. However, the more diverse a place becomes, the more difficult it is to learn about individual backgrounds and stories.
Diversity and internationalisation isn't about numbers and rankings - it's about the stories of the people studying at UM. It is about the people you meet in Maastricht, all of whom bring a piece of their culture and heritage with them. Thanks to the UM Diversity and Inclusivity Grant, three students travelled across three countries to share a story about where they come from and how they got to study at Maastricht University.
