UM Diversity and Inclusivity (D&I) Grants
UM Diversity and Inclusivity (D&I) Grants complement UM’s broader institutional efforts in D&I policy; they encourage innovative, bottom-up initiatives promoting diversity, inclusion and equity. Every year, the Executive Board reserves a total of €75,000 to provide seed funding for students, alumni and employees to translate ideas into activities and small research projects that could produce a sustainable impact and help make UM an inclusive organization.
We are very happy with the enthusiasm and great ideas on show in the first ever round of D&I Grants in 2018. The winning proposals cover issues as diverse as body positivity, celebrating language diversity, fostering a more inclusive climate, and empowerment of underrepresented groups.
