Tablet scheme

It is no longer possible to apply for a tablet

The Lokaal Overleg (LO), the consultation body of the Executive Board and the unions, has agreed to make tablets available to UM employees under certain conditions. The costs will largely be covered through the decentralised employment benefits fund. Distribution will take place in 2015.

Objective
With these tablets, the LO aims to enhance the options for employees to work remotely and reduce paper consumption.

Target group
The LO determined the target group as follows:  employees with a paid UM appointment of at least 0.4 fte, whose contract starts on or before 1 January 2015 and lasts at least 12 months.
1 June 2015 the target group was extended. Employees having a temporary paid appointment on 1 January 2015 and the appointment will be extended in 2015 until 1 January 2016 or a later date are from now on eligible for a tablet. A necessary condition for receiving a tablet is having a paid appointment on 1 January 2015. Employees appointed after 1 January 2015 will not be taken into consideration. Student assistants, temporary staff and employees who already received a tablet form Maastricht University are excluded.
Before receiving the tablet the employee must sign a statement indicating that he/she meets the conditions. He/she must also accept the conditions of use set out in the UM Tablet Regulations.
