Events
Systems biology is an interdisciplinary field of science at the interface of biology and computational modelling. MaCSBio forms the central hub of a network connecting researchers in systems biology coming from a range of disciplines such as biology, biomedical sciences, neurosciences, mathematics, bioinformatics, computer sciences or engineering. The institute is dedicated to sharing its expertise and tools. That's why MaCSBio is actively organizing events and initiatives to involve the wider systems biology community.
MaCSBio Science Day
During this yearly event you are welcome to attend and participate in scientific discussions in an informal setting. MaCSBio and their partners present state-of-the-art research and provide a stage for young researchers.
Lecture Series
With the Lecture Series MaCSBio strives to bring renowned national and international researchers in the field of Systems Biology to Maastricht University.
Peer groups
Peer groups are informal groups of researchers using a similar methodology, or working on a similar topic, who interact regularly to exchange information, critically follow new developments, and come up with innovative solutions to problems. Peer groups operate on an ad hoc basis depending on the present composition of the centre and on current projects. They also include colleagues in the wider UM community.
