R. Kakatkar
Rucha Kakatkar is a Ph.D. Researcher in the Circular Plastics Group at the Circular Chemical Engineering Department (CCE) of Maastricht University (UM) since September 2022. Her primary research contribution would be to a Horizon project aimed at increasing recycled content in added value products which are defined by five business cases. She would develop a Multi-criteria Evaluation framework which will aid in making structured decisions on feasibility of circular strategies for circular products. The framework would cover a broad spectrum of evaluation categories from a circular product development standpoint. The multi-criteria framework would also be verified while contributing to solving the bottlenecks of the business cases of the Horizon project.

Rucha obtained her Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Fibres and Textile Processing Technology at Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), India. She attained her MSc in Chemical Engineering at TU Eindhoven, the Netherlands specializing in Molecular Systems and Materials Chemistry. Following her MSc, she gained work experience for two years at one of the leading manufacturers of polyolefin foams in the Netherlands and in Europe. There her work focused on polymer processing and product development.
