Teaching role trainings
Our training programme is designed as a longitudinal track, which is displayed in the figure below. All staff members start with a basic training on the principles of PBL. This training is open to teachers from all levels of experience: from PhD candidates to full professors.
After this introductory PBL principles training, staff members with a new teaching role enroll in a dedicated training preparing for that role, for example, the small-group teacher training (formerly known as "tutor training"), the mentoring skills training (focusing on guiding and coaching individual students), the CORE teacher training (aimed at teaching consultation and reflection skills in the medicine programme, hosted by Skillslab), or the learning team coach training.
FHML has a strict policy regarding the training of academic staff for their teaching roles. Only qualified staff members are allowed to perform teaching tasks. Therefore, we offer these dedicated teaching role trainings.
Through the sub-menu on the left you will find more information about these trainings and a link to our registration website.
