"Next Level Tibial Nerve Stimulation in the Treatment of Overactive Bladder Syndrome"
This thesis investigated the current values of tibial nerve stimulation for treatment of overactive bladder syndrome (OAB). It attempted to outline the advantages and disadvantages of all forms of tibial nerve stimulation in the treatment of OAB. This was done by reviewing the newest and older insights for implantable devices. In addition, the real life outcomes of the current treatment modalities (percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation and transcutaneous nerve stimulation) were examined. Together, this provided a picture of the current real life situation of patients treating themselves with tibial nerve stimulation. Additionally, it provided a picture for the near future in terms of patient tailored health care.
