Ellen Bastiaens and Perry Heymann publish article on Community of Practices in higher education
Ellen Bastiaens and Perry Heymann recently published an article in Knowledge and Process Management reflecting on the key elements for establishing a community of practice.
Their case study, Maastricht University’s Student Employability programme (2016-2020), created and fostered a community with over 100 participants who engaged in a broad variety of activities. For example: creating new services for students, researching labour market developments, building a student portal on employability, and introducing a framework to refine UM’s thinking on student employability.
The exemplary approach they implemented during this programme is one that Ellen and Perry continue implementing in their current projects and activities, including at EDLAB!
