Dr. Andrea Ott in Beijing
Dr. Andrea Ott, Associate professor in EU law and MCEL researcher, taught Chinese students at the master programme in EU and International Law of the China-EU School of Law in Beijing from 6 to 10 November 2017. Her course titled EU external relations law and EU common commercial policy covered the fundamental characteristics of EU external relations law such as external representation and competences, EU trade policy and EU-China trade relations. Tutorials were taught by Max Baumgart (University of Cologne) and Zurab Gvelesiani (Central European University Budapest).
The China-EU School of Law is supported by a consortium of universities and colleges in Europe and China which includes as one of its partners Maastricht University. It is hosted at the China University of Political Science and Law and is financially supported by the European Commission.

This thesis sets out to examine the potentials and limitations of climate change litigation. It establishes a framework which allows for some general conclusions on how different types of climate change litigation function and how they can help address gaps in the global governance for GHG emissions reductions. -
