BISCI to join Topsector Logistiek Conference

The new Brightlands Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (BISCI) will be represented at this year’s Topsector Logistiek conference in Rotterdam on Tuesday, April 16. The event focuses on the challenges facing the logistics industry, including Brexit and the climate agreement.

One of the keynote speakers will be Netherlands Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management, Cora van Nieuwenhuizen. There will be speeches, presentations and break-out sessions on a range of topics such as: data sharing, social innovation, artificial intelligence, CO2 reduction, chain management and cooperation, physical internet and intelligent access.

The conference will be attended by more than 1000 industry representatives, government officials, academic researchers and other professionals. It provides an excellent occasion for a new institute like BISCI to meet potential partners and build up its network.

BISCI brief

Set up by Maastricht University and the Province of Limburg in early 2019, BISCI develops smart and sustainable innovations in supply chain management. The new institute seeks to apply the latest results of logistics research to address the challenges of service providers in the region and beyond. In addition, BISCI trains the next generation of professionals who can contribute to supply chain innovation in the industry. The latest addition to the Brightlands community derives its strength from closely collaborating with partners in the public, private and community sectors.
