To help you meet the mathematics requirement for one our programmes, the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE) organises online preparatory mathematics courses for incoming bachelor’s students with a mathematics deficiency. At the end of the course you will need to take an online exam to prove that you obtained the required knowledge to be able to start studying at SBE.
Online preparatory course
You can take this online course any time from October to August and from any place in the world that has an internet connection. The course generally takes about 120 hours to complete and costs €30.
Please note that it is necessary to complete the online preparatory course before participating in the exam.

Online proctored exam
After you completed the online preparatory course, you are ready to take the exam. You can take the test online at your convenience, choosing both time and location. To make sure that there is no cheating, the test will be ‘proctored’. This means students will be monitored during the test.
There are two different types of tests: the OMPT-A test (for students applying for bachelor’s programmes International Business, Economics and Business Economics, and Fiscal Economics), and the OMPT-B test (for Econometrics). The exam costs about €150.
You will receive a registration link for the exam once you made sufficient progress in your online course.
