Hanne Zimmermann (H.M.L.)
Hanne ML Zimmermann (MSc) is a mixed-methods researcher with affinity in the field of sexual health and broader health promotion and social psychology. In February 2022, she defended her PhD thesis entitled “HIV prevention in the biomedical era: a psychosocial investigation among MSM”. The main topics her PhD research focused on were HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), viral load sorting, and traditional behavioural HIV prevention strategies, as well as an investigation of the burden of living with HIV among MSM now that all these new developments are available. She currently works as a post-doc researcher at the Department of Work and Social Psychology, Maastricht University. Here, she is involved in setting up an HIV prevention collaboration platform within the EuRegio Meuse-Rhine.
