On Friday 31 January 2025, Maastricht University celebrates her 49th birthday during an festive afternoon full of inspiration, award ceremonies and music.

Abstracts of papers are welcome. Co-authored papers will be also considered. Abstracts of around
300 words can be submitted to Agustín Parise (agustin.parise@maastrichtuniversity.nl) no later
than 3 February 2025. Shortly after that, the authors will be informed whether their papers are
selected for a presentation during the Roundtable. The publication of a volume including a
selection of papers will be explored, though submission of papers at the time of the Roundtable is
not expected.

Ambassador Govert Jan Bijl de Vroe will discuss Finland-Netherlands relations, and UM alumna Peppi Heinikainen will share insights on European and foreign affairs.

The Globalisation & Law Network is composed of a group of researchers of Maastricht University, coming from different backgrounds, who study the role that law plays in a globalizing society from a holistic perspective.
