University Professors Take the Stage II

University professors have high academic stature, standing for innovative education and research. Their role is to provide impetus for scientific developments that cross the borders of traditional disciplines, and to play a leading part in academic and social debates. Tonight two of our distinguished university professors will speak about the front-rank research conducted at our university in two short lectures of half an hour each.

How Molecular Imaging Makes Medical Treatment More Precise
Prof. Ron Heeren, Professor of Molecular imaging, UM

Molecular imaging technology makes it possible to typify tissue in detail at molecular level. In an age when we realise that an individual approach to patients gives better results, this information is a condition for precision medicine. A new mass microscope makes it all possible.
