The Science of Emotions
Change: now online via zoom.
In this talk, Disa Sauter will discuss the science of emotion, giving an overview of central theoretical frameworks and contemporary research that investigates emotions empirically. She will cover questions like: What are emotions? Why do we have them? How do we understand other people’s emotions? Are everybody’s emotions the same? Sauter will focus on two key components of emotion: subjective experience (feelings), and nonverbal expressions (e.g. facial and vocal expressions).
