"Enhancing Social Health in Dementia Care Insights from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Technology Use"
This thesis examines various aspects of social health in dementia care, with special attention to the needs of diverse stakeholders, particularly informal caregivers. The first part focuses on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for informal caregivers. It outlines the current state of affairs, evaluates the feasibility and effectiveness of an online ACT intervention (ACT-IC), and explores the dynamics of caregiving using Experience Sampling Methodology (ESM). The second part focuses on technology and examines adherence to online self-help interventions, insights from stakeholders on the sustainable implementation of eHealth, the use of assistive technology to address loneliness in dementia, and innovation in non-technological tools.
