Next ITEM: Provincial elections from a cross-border perspective
When: Friday 10 March 2023
Where: online, via ZOOM. You will receive the link after you have registered, shortly before the start of the event
On March 15, 2023, the elections for the Provincial Council will take place in the Netherlands. Seven of the twelve provinces are located on a national border, with Germany and/or Belgium. According to the Eurostat definition, the entire province of Limburg even qualifies as a border region. Cross-border cooperation is important for the border region, where challenges and living, working and living do not stop at the border. What are the intentions of the various political parties in the border provinces? What do the plans mean for border regions and cross-border cooperation or what is missing? ITEM will publish a Reflection on the different party programmes in the border provinces. In it, ITEM screens the different party programmes and provides a reflection.
Please find the Reflection here
