"Learning and Assessment: Together for Success!"

Learning and Assessment are two sides of the same coin. Through assessment, teachers and students know where students are in their development and what next steps can be taken in the learning process. Technological and educational developments can help to realize an effective and efficient learning and testing practice for students and teachers.

In my lecture, I will present the research agenda of my chair with the central themes of "the integration of assessment of learning and assessment for learning", "learning in the workplace", and "the supporting role of technology in learning and testing". I explain how students can integrate learning and assessment to develop their self-direction, self-regulation, and evaluation skills, both in the school context and in the workplace. I discuss what this means for the role of the teacher and how generative AI can help us in the learning and testing process.
