Dutch Dance Days

Only for students!

The 27th edition of the Nederlandse Dansdagen shows the best of what Dutch dance has to offer. Students get the opportunity to visit some of the performances for a special (reduced) price, including a free ticket for Club Tweak where you can show off your own dancing skills. The number of seats is limited so don’t wait too long to get these student tickets.

ALPHABETS OF FLESH | ROVER/Roshanak Morrowatian 
Roshanak Morrowatian and Mami Izumi express the fragmented time and space experienced by people who have left their homeland. Through dance, language, music and video art, the performance creates a temporary home, where differences are embraced and being uprooted is a source of strength.

This is the one time of the year when the major dance companies of the Netherlands – Dutch National Ballet, Introdans, Nederlands Dans Theater and Scapino Ballet Rotterdam all appear together on the same stage. An ideal opportunity to come and see the very best Dutch dance has to offer today.

TIPPING POINT | Pia Meuthen/Panama Pictures 
Tipping Point, nominated for a ‘Swan’ award, is a breathtaking balancing act, in which six performers enter into confrontation with a large, barely controllable object. With a unique, powerful idiom on the interface between dance and acrobatics, and filled with risks, Panama Pictures keeps its audience on the edge of their seats.

GROOVE | The Ruggeds & Ghetto Funk Collective 
During this swinging dance concert for everyone aged 10 to 100, The Ruggeds & Ghetto Funk Collective take you on a journey through the evolution of funk & soul. At the pre- and afterparty in the foyer, Leroy Rey aka El Rey will share his vision on the roots of hiphop. Don’t miss this swinging party!

DANCE TENT TIPS
From 4 to 10 October the Dance Tent will be the place to meet dance lovers and the stage where everybody who wants, can join or watch others perform upclose.
