8th Growing Up in Science event with dr. Gonny Willems

Growing Up in Science is a conversation series featuring personal narratives of becoming and being a scientist

The Maastricht Young Academy initiated a local chapter of Growing Up in Science in October 2020 at Maastricht University. Since then, several successful GUS sessions have been held, where the speakers have shared their unofficial stories, and have imparted some wise words of advice and encouragement to the audience members. 

Eighth Growing Up in Science event 

The MYA is organising the 8th GUS event on the 3rd of June 2021, from 4-5pm. In this session, dr. Gonny Willems, managing director of Maastricht Working on Europe, will share her unofficial story. 

About the speaker 

Gonny has obtained her MsC and PhD from the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience of Maastricht University, has worked within the UM organisation in various positions and has also been organising and leading TEDxMaastricht for years.
