Currently finishing my PhD thesis on International Humanitarian Law, titled "Modern insurgency warfare’s incompatibility with the principle of distinction", where I argue that the Additional Protocols are potentially obsolete and are unable to regulate modern insurgency warfare. I have also published work on genocide and currently represent Ukrainian families (pro bono) against the Russian Federation at the European Court of Human Rights.

I am a former combat veteran or Iraq and southern Philippines and now a human rights lawyer. I hold a BS in Zoology, a Master's in Business Administration, a Master's in international Affairs (Southeast Asia) and an LLM in Globalization and Law. Born in Peru
