Yusuf Can Semerci (Y.C.)

I joined the Department of Advanced Computing Sciences as a Postdoctoral Researcher in January 2021 and became an Assistant Professor in January 2025. My research focuses on human behavior and human-computer interaction, applying interdisciplinary approaches with AI-driven computational methodologies. My key interests include affective computing, educational computing, natural language processing, and computer vision.

 

Currently, I serve as the Scientific and Technical Coordinator of the Horizon Europe project VOXReality and am a member of the Cognitive Systems Research Group (formerly the Affective and Visual Computing Lab).
