UM Data Science Research Seminar Series
The UM Data Science Research Seminar series serves as a forum to learn about, discuss and critique high impact publications from all facets of Data Science.
Data Science Expert Series
The aim of the bi-monthly Data Science Expert Series is to bring together data science experts from across the world to discuss breakthroughs and research topics that are related to data science, to extend the network and to start collaborations.
Think Tank meetings
The Think Tank meetings are meant for stakeholder meetings to gain insights into their ideas, needs, and dreams to foster a valuable Data Science Community.
Datathons are data-focused hackathons which invites students and faculty members from all backgrounds as well as practitioners from industry and government to participate in a global challenge.
In 2020 IDS has organized the "Symposium Consumer and Data Privacy: The Digital Revolution of Legal, Social and Economic Interaction" and the "Women in Data Science conference (WiDS)". The next WiDS onference will be held in 2021.
Research Proposal Competitions
The Institute of Data Science at Maastricht University is holding yearly competitions for innovative research proposals that use data science to tackle key problems of societal relevance.
